Description
Colorspray Splashback Adhesive & Sealant is a clear, low modulus, neutral curing adhesive and sealant designed for bonding painted glass splashbacks and feature panels to a wide range of porous and non-porous substrates.
Solvent-free and containing a fungicide to help improve mildew resistance, it is ideal for both bonding and pointing applications.
Substrate Preparation
For optimum adhesive performance, all surfaces should be fully cured, clean, and free from dust or contaminants before application.
- Ensure plaster is in good, sound condition with no loose or damaged areas.
- New plaster should be allowed to dry for a minimum of 21 days before installation.
Application Instructions
- Apply a 6mm bead of adhesive at 100mm intervals across the mounting surface.
- Press the glass panel firmly into place to achieve a 2mm separation and an approximate bond width of 10–12mm for maximum mechanical grab.
- All panels must be adequately dead-load supported during installation.
- Any pointing between panels or adjacent areas should be tooled off within 15 minutes of application.
